Hide 'n' Seek #yegs newest indoor playground!

I am so excited to hear about another indoor playground that has opened up in Edmonton. One that is closer to us and one that is open on evenings and weekends!!!! (Seriously you had me at evenings and weekends

Check out Edmonton's newest indoor playground
Hide 'n' Seek , located in West Edmonton at 10830 170 St NW.

Offering many options such as trampolines, a specially built toddler area and an arcade this is definitely a "go to" location that will be on the top of Carter & Sophie's list and it will be on the top of mine because we won't have to travel an hour to get there. There is also a cafe so your food and beverage needs are taken care of too! (hello coffee!!!)

Admission is competitive compared to other play places in and around #yeg and with the variety of options its an indoor playground that appeals to all ages!

Another fantabulous thing- they will be offering a variety of classes and events.
Make sure you like the Hide 'n' Seek Facebook page so that you can keep up to date on what is being offered!

See you there! :)

Have you heard of the Switch Witch??? #halloweenideas #switchwitch Enter for a chance to win a $25 Toys R Us Gift Card!

This will be our first year of holidays in our new home and Halloween is just around the corner. Knowing that this is a very well attended neighborhood for Trick or Treating I know that Carter and Sophie will probably Trick or Treat their weight in Halloween candy.

When I was a kid my moms view was that we could have free rein over our candy - thus showing our (my) early issues and beyond with no self control when it comes to sugary treats. This is something that I want to try to curb and have approached the subject with Kris about The Switch Witch. First of all let me tell you that we are talking about a man who as a kid did costume changes throughout the Halloween night to increase the amount of candy he could get. He feels it's well earned. The idea will need some convincing. Lets face it, it will need a lot of convincing.

So who/what is it exactly?
The Switch Witch idea has been around for awhile now but I feel like I have been hearing about it more and more lately.
Basically your child(ren) are given the option to leave all or a large portion of their candy out for the Switch Witch and in return a toy or something else desired is left in it's place. It's something that definitely needs some build up so if you are going this way it could be a good idea to "plant" this idea soon. And of course if there is no buy in from the kids it might not work.... Another thing is that you can be creative with the name it doesn't have to be Switch Witch, you can say candy fairy, Halloween candy trade, or whatever other creative names come to mind..

There are definitely pro's and con's for this, I get it ANOTHER holiday to spend even more money. But for some who don't really want to have all the candy in the house it could be a perfect solution. And dollar stores can have some pretty good swag!

Regardless - I am still in the convincing stages with Kris an this topic so we shall see what is decided.
But for those of you have already made the decision, check out and enter the contest below for a chance to win a $25 gift card towards your next purchase at Toys R Us.
